her strength, and her beautiful soul.

Her love will echo in every memory,
in every life she touched,
and in every heart that was blessed to know her.

Now she rides free, where love never ends

Our beautiful mom has taken her final breaths and is finally at peace.

The love surrounding our family has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way. So many of you have reached out asking about services, where to send flowers, how you can help, or simply wanting to tell us what Mom meant to you.

We are reading your messages. We feel your love. And we are so grateful.

Because Mom touched so many lives, we can't keep up with everyone individually while also carrying everything these days are asking of us. So we made this page, one place where everyone who loved Mom can stay connected and receive information as plans come together.

A message from our family

What we can tell you

So many of you have asked about the funeral and the burial, and you deserve an honest answer rather than more silence.

Mom's wish was clear. She did not want to be cremated. She wanted to be buried. Honoring that took time, and it took the extraordinary kindness of someone who stepped forward to help make it possible. We are grateful beyond words for that gift. It also meant working within what was truly available to us, and the only date we could take is tomorrow.

We know that is almost no notice, and we are so sorry. It was never for lack of wanting you there.

At the graveside

There is no program or service planned. Mom will be laid to rest at precisely 11:00 AM. If you are able to come and would like to say something afterward, she would have loved that, and so would we.

If you can attend, please record

We would be deeply grateful if you would record part of the morning on your phone. So many people who loved Mom simply cannot get here by tomorrow. We will add what we can to this page so they can be with her too.

Celebration of life

Because of the holiday weekend and how fast all of this has moved, the celebration of Mom's life will be held later, on a date that gives everyone a real chance to be there. Jen Jorgensen is coordinating it, and we will post the details here and send them by email as soon as they are set.

For many of you, that gathering will be your goodbye to her. Please don't feel you have missed anything by not being able to reach Veyo tomorrow morning.

We feel all of it. Right now our family is trying to navigate grief while building something worthy of the woman we loved so deeply. If we haven't personally responded, it isn't because your message didn't matter. We're simply trying to hold a lot at once.

Thank you for loving Kathy. Thank you for loving our family. And thank you for helping us create a beautiful final celebration for a woman whose love reached further than any of us fully realized.

Her love remains. Her legacy lives on. She is at peace.
